Students and faculty members of Swarup Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Ratanpur Tundi, Dhanbad visited the Naresh Vashishit Centre for Tinkering and Innovation (NVCTI) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad on Wednesday, where they explored advanced technological facilities, research-driven projects, robotics demonstrations, and hands-on learning opportunities designed to inspire innovation and scientific thinking among young learners.
During the visit, the students interacted with various emerging technologies and witnessed demonstrations showcasing practical applications of innovation and engineering. The exposure provided them with an opportunity to understand how academic research, technology, and creative problem-solving come together in real-world settings.
The session and facility tour were coordinated by Mr. Ramesh Prasad, Technical Officer, NVCTI, along with the NVCTI team, who guided the visiting students through different sections of the centre and conducted interactive discussions to make the learning experience engaging and informative.
Such educational visits are aimed at encouraging school students to develop curiosity towards science, technology, and innovation by exposing them to advanced institutional infrastructure and research environments at an early stage.
The Naresh Vashishit Centre for Tinkering and Innovation (NVCTI) is IIT (ISM) Dhanbad’s dedicated innovation hub focused on promoting creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning. The centre provides facilities for prototyping, robotics, and emerging technology-based experiential learning, helping students transform ideas into practical solutions.
NVCTI has been playing an important role in strengthening the institute’s innovation ecosystem while also serving as a platform for outreach initiatives that inspire aspiring young innovators through meaningful academic exposure.
